Pocket height alone does not prove fit. Mattress width, length, depth tolerance, corner radius, skirt stretch, elastic retention, and wash shrinkage all interact.
Fabric, seam, zipper chain, start and end stops, garage, installation stress, and every penetration path must be evaluated together.
A terry or absorbent face can accept liquid while the complete product still leaks at a seam, edge, corner, or closure.
Adding quilting, resilient fill, or an absorbent core may change U.S. flammability and state bedding-law analysis. The physical article—not its marketing name—drives classification.
Expansion logic
